Cloud Computing: Principle Modals, Their Types, And Benefits

It is the use of remote servers on the internet to store, manage, and process data rather than a local server or your personal computer.

What is cloud computing?

If you send emails or edit documents through online services, watch movies, play games, listen to music, and save files, then cloud computing is behind all the activities. Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services that include server storage, databases, networking, software, and infrastructure. All these services are available through the Internet.

When we save a file or data on a computer or mobile phone and when we change the phone or computer and later we cannot find the file, the solution for this is cloud computing services that are used to store data. We can use cloud computing services anytime, anywhere, and it is very secure.

For example, suppose you have created a file like audio, video, MS Word, or Excel, and you have saved that file on your computer or mobile phone. Now if you have to go somewhere, then you will need it, and then you will copy the file to a hard disk or pen drive. But if you use cloud computing, you do not need to copy any files; you must have an internet connection so that you can easily save your data on Google Drive.

Principle Cloud computing models

Infrastructure as a service provides virtualized computing resources over the internet. In this, you can define how many GB RAM, server, and memory.

Platform as a service has no control over the underlying architecture, including the operating system, storage server, etc. The cloud provider gives the customer the ability to deploy customer-created applications using programming languages, tools, etc that are provided by the cloud provider.

Software as a service: A cloud provider leaves applications or software, which is owned by it to its client.

Benefits of cloud computing

  • Easy to use: Cloud computing is very easy to use. It can be used anytime on your phone and computer.
  • Cost: cloud computing cost is very low. Companies using it do not need to do hardware, software research, and setup; rather, the company can run its business at a very low cost by taking the space on the internet online and using the services of cloud computing. This service is very flexible and budget-friendly.
  • Speed: cloud computing services speed is very fast
  • Performance: cloud computing services are very secure and upgradeable.

Types of cloud computing services

Basically, there are 4 types of cloud computing services.

  • Public cloud: These types of cloud are operated by 3rd party cloud service providers. Such supporting infrastructure is managed by the cloud provider itself.
  • Example: Microsoft Azure
  • Privet cloud: This is for any business or organization, which may also be locked at the data center of that company. These types of cloud are operated by 3rd party cloud services providers. A private cloud is one that is defined just for you. In this, the system is only yours and no one else can access it.
  • Community cloud: This type of cloud computing is shared between organizations that have common goals and form a community. Only members of this computing community can use it.
  • Hybrid cloud: hybrid clouds are formed when combinations of public cloud and private cloud are used.
